Initiatives
I love creating things that could contribute back to the communities that fostered my own interest in STEM and computer science in my youth. Here are some of the project’s I’ve worked on:
01
I am the founder of Scientific Youth of America, a student-led organization that places teens in conversation with industry professionals. With over 350 attendees, we bring in pioneers from a variety of tech industries every month to speak to an audience of high school and early college students. Personally, I’m very proud of the work we’ve done in terms of engaging youth and exposing them to the possible career paths they could take in STEM. With the transition to virtual, it has been really exciting to expand our reach past our local community.

Prospective AI
I am a co-founder of Prospective AI, a student-led organization dedicated to teaching students in 3-12th grade about artificial intelligence and its social impacts through workshops and programs. From my own journey with AI, I realized there was a complete absence of an artificial intelligence curriculum for high school students in the US, particularly those in underrepresented areas, despite AI’s increasing importance in a variety of STEM fields. An early start and guidance would provide students with the tools to pursue their passions in CS. Prospective AI seeks to provide students with the tools and skills necessary to pursue AI beyond our programs, and encourages the message that AI is for everyone – no matter what skill level or field you come from.

Clements Biology Olympiad
As president of the Biology Olympiad club at my school, I teach students about various biological topics and help them prepare for various biology competitions. Students are able to engage with biology through these lectures, and I hope to help garner excitement for the subject through the club.
